Zmarł jeden z najwybitniejszych inwestorów na naszej giełdzie. Był bardzo cichy i konkretny a przy tym podobno bardzo życzliwy. Nigdy nie miałem okazji z nim porozmawiać choć widywaliśmy się na walnym zgromadzeniu kopexu nie raz. To on de facto stworzył jego potęgę łącząc go z ZZM. Był moim zdaniem najuczciwszym "grubasem" na rynku, mimo że nigdy nie oddawał nic za darmo (sprawa z zeg). Nie mogę absolutnie powiedzieć, że go znałem ale chciałbym być tak zapamiętany jak ja będę go pamiętał. Miał 46 lat.

W pierwszym komunikacie podano, że zginął tragicznie a następnie w wyjaśnieniu, że przyczyną śmierci była długotrwała depresja.

Wspomnienie

Życie nie oszczędzało Leszka Jędrzejewskiego. Od czasów szkoły podstawowej, poprzez okres studiów i w późniejszym dorosłym życiu bardzo często spotykały go przykrości i zawody, z którymi ciężko sobie radził.
W swoim usposobieniu był przede wszystkim bardzo ciepły i spokojny, jednocześnie dokładny i skrupulatny. Był ambitny i dużo od siebie wymagał.
Był otwarty i ufny wobec ludzi, zdecydowanie zbyt ufny, co w kolejnych latach spowodowało mnóstwo problemów.
Efektem tego były pierwsze objawy załamania i depresji. Chciał rzucić studia. Żeby odbudować poczucie własnej wartości zaczął podejmować różne działalności i wyzwania. Od początku istnienia Giełdy Papierów Wartościowych w Warszawie zaczął inwestować oszczędności rodziców. Dzięki dużym zdolnościom analitycznym zaczął odnosić sukcesy.
Był wyjątkowo skromny, nie szukał wygody w życiu. Na ulicy niczym się nie wyróżniał, mieszkał w małym 40-metrowym mieszkaniu.
Giełda i działalność biznesowa przyniosły mu sukcesy i satysfakcję, której tak bardzo potrzebował. Dokładniej mówiąc, na giełdzie odnosił sukcesy, a w działalności biznesowej bardzo często napotykał nieuczciwych ludzi, co pogłębiło depresję i przerodziło się w chorobę dwubiegunową. Powodowało to w okresie tzw. „górki” wzmożoną aktywność, zbyt duży optymizm i przekonanie o powodzeniu wielu przedsięwzięć, a w okresie tzw. „dołka” całkowite obniżenie poczucia własnej wartości i izolowanie się od otoczenia.
W 2001 roku brat poprosił mnie o pomoc w związku z bardzo dużą pożyczką, której udzielił znanemu inwestorowi giełdowemu. Leszek obawiał się, że może te pieniądze stracić. Pożyczka zabezpieczona była akcjami Zabrzańskich Zakładów Mechanicznych. Pożyczonej kwoty nie udało się odzyskać. Pozostał większościowy pakiet akcji ZMM.
Spółka dzięki umiejętnemu kierownictwu zaczęła się dynamicznie rozwijać, a w kolejnych latach stworzyła Grupę ZZM-KOPEX.
Leszek potrzebował jednak kolejnych potwierdzeń swojej przydatności na tym świecie. Podejmował nowe działalności, wchodził w nowe biznesy, które przysparzały olbrzymią dawkę stresu. Ta potrzeba potwierdzania się, nacechowana pewną rywalizacją, prowadziła do coraz głębszej depresji i coraz częstszych „górek” i „dołków”. Pomimo leczenia i okresowych pobytów w szpitalu nie udało się uniknąć najgorszego.
